Unload is a series of short piano works that came to life through instant recorded improvisation sessions performed by Jean Delouvroy. After some editing of the improvised material each composition is finalised as a recording. A score will be produced from all these recordings to be performed live as one composition by a pianist. That score is the last stage of the composing process. Some of the works will be supported with electronics. Each work has a three-digit number (e.g.: ‘Unload 121′ means made in 2012, work number 1).

‘Deus Digitalis´ is an audiovisual installation by visual artist Hans Verhaegen and composer Jean Delouvroy. On occasion of the official opening of this year´s exhibition, this creation will be integrated in the characteristic context of the Orpheus Institute´s concert hall. The basic elements consist of computer-steered animation of the recognizable distinctive human pattern by Hans Verhaegen and the inventive composed sound layers by Jean Delouvroy. It´s the first time both artists combine forces.

Visuals
The animation is made in Flash (old school flash based on an animation by Jared ‘Levitated’ Tarbell from 2001). Inspiration was also triggered by visiting the Cathedral in Köln (Germany) with the recent glass window by the German contemporary painter Gerhard Richter. The screen is filled with dancing human figures. In a style that reminds us of early ’80 computer games. These are symmetrically arranged in groups of 25 people in different colors. The colors are simply the default colors you can find in almost any graphical program. These do very well in simulating the “typical” gothic colors of glass windows.

Music
The music consists of a 23 minute looped soundscape situated in a very low frequency range. This is the result of a complex manipulation via software of a self composed baroque fugue for a chorus. It could be interpreted as a group of giants singing in slowmotion with a endless breath like they are frozen in time. A layer of crackling sounds appears and disappears and triggers the visuals.

Der Regenbaum
A primordial landscape of stone, clouds and water. the elements evolve and dissolve into one another. A tree raining into a milky pool. Microcellular organisms create roads and traffic, fog accumulates into clouds and dissipates into the sea. Breathing-
The 3-screen installation is the third project which Johannes Braun (film) and Jean Delouvroy (music) created together after the award winning shortfilm ‘Soundminiature 1′ and the live project ‘Teufelsberg’.

The Teufelsberg (Devils Mountain): is a hill in a forrest at the outskirts of Berlin. It was errected after the second worldwar on the foundations of the fascist military university project with the rubble of the ruins of Berlin. In the cold war the western allied forces built on top of it a surveillance station with huge parabolic antennas. Being abandoned by them in the 90´s it was planned to be transformed into a luxury ressort. The transformation had allready started, a modell flat had allready been built when the economy collapsed. Newly abandoned it is now open for vandalization and individual destruction, the future uncertain. The project makes visible and audible the energies of construction and deconstruction compressed at this site along the open and covered traces of the past .
